This week, Team Leader David Hotte and Key Expert on Beneficial Ownership Alexandre Taymans carried out a visit to South Africa 🇿🇦, building on the initial engagement of the EU Global Facility with the country.
The visit started with a meeting with the IDC BOT (Inter-departemental committee on BO transparency), the comittee in charge of the BO transparency reforms in the country where both parties discussed the workplan proposed by the EU Global Facility to the partner country.
Also in discussions: the future activities to be delivered in the coming weeks and months.
The meeting was attendez by representatives from the FIU, the CIPC (Ministry of #Economy), the Master of courts (Ministry of #Justice) and South Africa’s revenue service (Ministry of #Finances)
💡The IDC BOT is tasked with engaging with the various relevant stakeholders on BO transparency from both the public and private sector.
