The EU Global Facility is delighted to take part in the “Colloque National on the notion of Beneficial Owner” organised by the CENTRE NATIONAL DU REGISTRE DES ENTREPRISES -national business register of Tunisia and the University of Tunis El Manar on 7-8 September 2023.
With the support of the EU Global Facility, this colloque brings together a diverse panel of experts including researchers, lawyers and accountants, who will tackle a wide range of topics on Beneficial Ownership’s impact on commercial, banking, criminal and privacy laws, legal privilege and the role of lawyers, the fight against corruption and economic development.
Our Key Expert on BO Alexandre Taymans delivered the first session of the colloque yesterday, under the title “The Operationalisation of FATF’s standards: strategies and tools for effective beneficial ownership transparency”.
🤝🇪🇺🇹🇳 This activity is part of the partnership developed between the EU Global Facility and the RNE, and is following a highly successful sub-regional workshop with participants from Algeria, Libya and Tunisia held in Tunis back in April.
We are also happy to announce that the RNE and EU Global Facility will soon be releasing a publication featuring a collection of insightful articles presented during this event.
