Today, the EU Global Facility kicked off its first activity with South Africa 🇿🇦, in the form of an e-training on Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Recommendation 8.
Opened by Ambassador of the European Union to South Africa, Sandra Kramer, the Director of the Financial Intelligence Centre of South Africa, Xolisile Khanyile, and EU GF Team Leader, David Hotte, the online training will span over the course of four days.
It is targeted at regulators and authorities of South Africa, and seeks to recall the main criteria and requirements of the FATF Recommendation on Not-for-Profit Organisations.
This constitutes one of the main topics of the EU Global Facility’s engagement with South Africa, which has recently been agreed with the partner country’s authorities.
