E-training on statistics wraps up for Ecuador police 🇪🇨
Following the success of the first module , which covered general statistical concepts (March 2023), the EU Global Facility is delighted to announce it just concluded the 2nd module of a training series on statistics related to police forces.
This two-day training put a specific emphasis on Immediate Outcome 7, as identified by Ecuador’s Mutual Evaluation Report approved in July 2022, as “containing areas for improvement”.
The online training, delivered by a Spanish expert, brought together a diverse range of participants, including representatives from the FIU, police, prosecution, the judiciary, and the assets recovery entity, among others. By fostering collaboration among these crucial stakeholders, the training aimed to enhance the effectiveness of statistical practices and support Ecuador’s ongoing efforts to combat financial crimes.
📊 The training series -the first to be delivered on the subject of statistics by the EU Global Facility- was officially requested by Ecuador. In light of its successful implementation, Argentina and Uruguay have already formulated requests for similar training to be implemented in their jurisdiction.
💡The EU Global Facility began delivering technical assistance activities to the new partner country back in March 2023.
