Mauritius has achieved excellent results in compliance with the FATF Rec 8 requirements, leading to its re-rating by the ESAAMLG.
Some of our experts are therefore in Mauritius this week, where they organise an information visit for representatives of authorities/regulators from Turkiye, Jordan and Zambia.
The visit, which spans from Monday to Thursday, aims at sharing best practices in the implementation of the requirements of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Recommendation 8 on NPOs.
The visit began on Monday with country-based presentations of:
✔︎ Status with FATF evaluations
✔︎ Measures undertaken to implement FATF Rec 8/Immediate Outcome 10
✔︎ Results of risk assessment
✔︎ Introduction to the legal framework for NPOs
