Yesterday, we concluded the Regional Consultations on the revisions of the Best Practices Paper on Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Recommendation 8 in Buenos Aires, #Argentina 🇦🇷.
Civil society representatives from 17 countries of the Caribbean and Latin America spent two days discussing the challenges and best practices in the implementation of this recommendation in the regions. Officials from GAFILAT and Caribbean Financial Action Task Force (CFATF) were also in attendance, along with representatives of the Argentinian authorities.
On the second day of the consultations, #civilsociety representatives identified the best practices, challenges and recommendations to be provided to FATF, before discussing their findings with the co-lead on the revision of the Best Practices Paper.
The EU Global Facility, in co-operation with the Global NPO Coalition on FATF and in co-ordination with the respective FSRBs will continue organising those regional NPO consultations around the world, with sessions scheduled to take place in
