The EU Global Facility is currently in #Zambia 🇿🇲 to review the progress achieved in relation to the NPO Risk Assessment.
As part of our commitment to support partner jurisdictions in complying with Recommendation 8 requirements, this visit aims to assess the implementation of the new methodology for the elaboration of the NPO Sectoral Risk Assessment. Work of the local authorities has been closely supported by the EU Global Facility’s experts, including those part of the Global NPO Coalition on FATF.
Today marks the 20th activity of technical assistance delivered by the EU Global Facility to the partner country, which demonstrates the EU GF’s unwavering engagement with countries committed to improving their compliance with FATF requirements.
Started back in September 2020, the collaboration between the EU Global Facility and Zambia aims to help the partner country in strengthening its AML/CFT framework, notably with regards to Recommendation 8 on the not-for-profit sector, Beneficial Ownership, Regulation and Justice, among others.
