Yesterday, the EU Global Facility, led by Key Expert on Regulation/FIU Arnaud STIEN, kicked off a working visit in the Seychelles, which aims to deliver technical assistance to the competent authorities in charge of the supervision of the DNFBPs such as accountants, the gaming sector or legal professions.
In addition to training sessions, meetings were held with members of the Technical AMLCFT Coordination Committee (TACC), to support the effective coordination mechanism and the implementation of the national strategy on AML/CFT.
Entities involved encompassed the FIU, the Central Bank, Financial Services Authority, Anti-corruption Agency, Custom/revenue Authority, Seychelles Ministry of Finance, Trade, Investment and Economic Planning, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the AMLCFT resident advisor.
